Welcome to our blog! After our recent launch of our new website, www.ambrosiophotography.com, we are excited to share our new blog with you! We look forward to posting about our recent weddings, engagments, and exciting new studio developments.

Craig and I have been shooting together for 10 years, we met while were photojournalist's at competing newspapers. Almost 9 years ago we started business in South Florida and began our lives together as husband and wife a few years later. That is us on our wedding day! We truly understand all of the planning, laughter and tears that make a wedding day a magical event.

Sometimes when your planning your wedding day you close your eyes and dream… Craig & I had the pleasure of photographing one of those daydreams, as told by the fabulously creative Nathalie Cadet-James of Luxe Fete.

Warm & Wonderful…with a chance of snow!

Congratulations to Emily & Joseph! True love always wins, even when mother nature throws the crazy cold weather, relentless rain & the rumor of snow showers.

With their friends & family providing all the warmth necessary, they tied the knot indoors at Fairchild Tropical Gardens. After they exchanged vows, complete with a fantastic ensemble of musicians, they hosted a non stop party underneath the warm cover of a tent. Adding a personal touch & sharing their love of food and cooking – Emily & Joseph created a cookbook full of their favorite recipes – including their wedding cake.

A deco session…

So excited to share this session – as I do not always blog engagement sessions – but it is Art Deco weekend! We always enjoy it when couples are up for anything -and after spending time with Renee & Brad we knew how much they loved living on the beach & being a part of this wonderful community. I asked if they would mind taking vintage deco photos – and they were totally up for anything! So a few weeks ago we headed out for some photos, both vintage & now – hope you enjoy them. Congratulations to John & Belkis – who recently tied the knot at the Red Fish Grille. As the sunset, they exchange vows before an intimate group of friends and family. With a vintage tablescape designed by Joy Wallace Catering, they shared a spectacular evening under the stars.

A classic affair at the JW Marriott…

Congratulations to Jessica and Mike! This wonderfully down to earth couple recently exchanged vows at the bride’s childhood church, St. Jude’s Catholic Church in Miami. The beautiful bride could not stop smiling as she made her way down the isle in a fantastic Vera Wang gown. Nothing could dampen their spirits, even as the crazy weather changed into wind & rain – and then stopped just in time for their fantastic sparkler church exit. A gorgeous reception was held at the JW Marriott, with every detail planned to perfection by the newlyweds.

Grace under pressure….

Congratulations to Nate & Maryann! Every couple feels a bit of stress when planning their wedding day, but when your expecting an entire congregation at your wedding, the pressure can be even greater. Maryann & Nate handled it with grace and joy – as they exchanged vows during a beautiful ceremony led by the grooms father, Rev. Tobin of St Thomas Episcopal Parish. After a touching ceremony, complete with the St Thomas Episcopal choir performing during the service, the newlyweds held a fantastic party under the stars at Jungle Island.

A fantastic affair at the National …

Congratulations to Stacey & Quint! Craig and I were so excited to document your wedding day after having such a fantastic time shooting your engagement session.

Incorporating the beach, art deco, and their love of football – they tied to knot at the National Hotel on South Beach. Their guests had a fantastic time – complete with a candy bar, a birthday cake, and our version of a photo booth!

Sometimes love takes you great distances….

Congratulations to Sina and Ashwin! After traveling around the world to find each other, they tied the knot recently at the Acqualina resort and spa. I cannot thank you both enough for being totally relaxed, and doing everything together – including getting ready! The crazy weather brought beautiful afternoon sun, crazy gray skies, lots of wind, a potential storm and then a beautiful rainbow.

As dusk fell, they exchanged vows on the beach, which brought tears to everyone’s eyes as their love story was told. Then the party started under the stars; with a fantastic salsa as their first dance. With guests traveling from every corner of the globe, it was a intimate affair, in many languages.

I wish you all the best as you begin your lives together – may your journey together in life be as rewarding as the one you took to find each other.

A non-stop party with a bit of southern charm…

Congratulations to Ashley and Demtere! A destination wedding, bringing two families together, for a nonstop party weekend at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables. After a touching ceremony by Rev. Eddie Rodriguez , the newlyweds spent a bit of time taking photos will us on the picture perfect property surrounding the Biltmore Hotel. After the photos were done, the doors to the ballroom opened and the party started – with everyone on their feet dancing to the sounds of Gypsy Lane and few rockin song by the brides very talented brother.
